SUMMARY: As a member of the Regional Leadership Team with 16 managers statewide, organized into 4 teams, each Regional Manager is responsible for providingstrategic leadership for assigned Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance offices, managing staff performance and compliance in efforts to achieve high-quality service and operational excellence. This role develops and executes strategic plans, facilitates recruitment efforts, champions talent development through training and mentoring, and drives achievement of key performance metrics. The Regional Manager implements regional strategies and fosters community and internal relationships. Additional responsibilities include managing office logistics, evaluating new locations, and leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role offers a clear path for professional development, with each level building on the previous one by requiring enhanced skills and increased responsibilities.
Level 1 – Foundational Responsibilities
Assists talent development team with assessing training needs and delivering onboarding, continuing education, and development programs using Missouri Farm Bureau-approved training materials; gains proficiency in relevant systems to support effective instruction.
Provides ongoing information, guidance and support to field staff on Missouri Farm Bureau policies, procedures, membership goals, company and brokered insurance products, and client relationship management, with a strong focus on onboarding and developing new team members.
In collaboration and under the direction of the Talent Acquisition team, sources, interviews, and selects qualified candidates; maintains a pipeline of prospective hires through multiple sourcing channels and networks.
Supervises and evaluates field office staff; addresses performance issues and implements development or corrective action plans as needed.
Cultivates partnerships with other regional leadership team members, home office personnel, regional coordinators, state and county boards, and federation staff.
Responds to customer service inquiries and operational concerns in a timely and policy-compliant manner.
Ensures high levels of professionalism and service in all internal and external stakeholder interactions.

Level 2 – Operational Leadership
Manages assigned field office operations, providing oversight of daily sales, service activities, staffing, and performance outcomes.
Ensures compliance with and maintains field office operational policies and procedures in alignment with Missouri Farm Bureau goals and standards, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery.
Assists field office staff in the preparation of annual goals and monitors performance to ensure achievement of sales production, persistency, service, and loss ratio targets; assists with and monitors results of joint sales calls and lead generation strategies.
Plans and facilitates regional meetings, trainings, and conferences to enhance staff engagement, alignment, and professional development.
Collaborates with Home Office departments, Regional Coordinators, and County Boards to promote Federation initiatives, resolve issues, and support Farm Bureau projects and activities and community engagement.
Represents Missouri Farm Bureau at industry events, schools, and sponsored programs in alignment with outreach and recruitment goals.
Level 3 – Strategic Sales & Talent Development
Analyzes sales and performance data; collaborates with the Director of Sales and regional managers to set goals, develop strategic plans, and implement training, compensation and reward/recognition programs and retention initiatives.
Coordinates the interview process, ensures timely communication with candidates and the Talent Acquisition team, and provides documented details of candidate notes and decisions throughout the recruitment process to HR.
Delivers sales training and support.
Participates in client sales calls, providing on-the-ground support to help close business.
Leads or participates in special projects and process improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery or operational efficiency.
Provides ongoing information, guidance and support to field staff on Missouri Farm Bureau’s sales techniques.
Level 4 – Strategic Operations & Growth
Evaluates potential new office locations, supports lease or construction arrangements in accordance with “Partners for Growth” program procedures, and manages office-related expenses in line with budgetary goals and addresses equipment or building needs.
Provides executive-level oversight of field staff onboarding, goal setting, and sales outcomes, driving strategic alignment with Missouri Farm Bureau business objectives.
Drives organizational sales performance by aligning local and regional initiatives with corporate sales goals and ensuring effective execution of recruitment, retention, and training strategies.
Acts as a key liaison and thought leader between field operations and executive leadership, ensuring communication flow, data-driven decision-making, and alignment of talent strategies with long-term business goals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, marketing, or related field plus two years of relevant work experience or any one of the four professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) plus four years of relevant work experience. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the formal education requirement. Previous sales experience and work experience in insurance highly preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, DESIGNATIONS
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must have or be able to obtain within specified period of time: State of Missouri insurance licenses in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
