SUMMARY: A licensed agent represents the Missouri Farm Bureau insurance companies and brokerage companies. Agent is licensed for life, health, property, and casualty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly responsible for promoting and attaining new insurance business and the maintenance and service of existing policies and policyholders.
- Conducts business within the guidelines in the agents’ employee handbook, the career agents’ memorandum of employment terms and commission schedules, and other documents published by the companies.
- Adheres to guidelines established by the underwriting department for the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing business.
- Maintains adequate records as required by the companies and by the regional sales manager.
- Meets or exceeds training and production requirements.
- Exclusively promotes the entire Farm Bureau family of member services in a manner consistent with company policies.
- In cooperation with the regional sales manager, the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation regional coordinator, and the county Farm Bureau Board of Directors, assists in all county activities involving member service.
- Provides advice and assistance as requested by the county Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
- Travels to client site to photograph and document insured properties.
- Coordinates with Customer Service Representative to conduct effective flow of business.
- Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers and maintains a good working relationship with field and Home Office personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must have valid Missouri driver’s license.
- Must be licensed in all lines of insurance sold by the companies and meet all state and company requirements for continuing education and professional development.
